Kitchen

The kitchen was one of the first rooms we tackled in this design. The first thing we did was knock down the wall that separated the dining room and kitchen. With the space opened up, we created a visual division using a peninsula and chalk board wall, for a fun, casual, eat-in experience! With the wall down, the large windows now flood the space with tons of light. Luckily, the cabinets in the home, although not original, were in good enough shape to be reused. All we had to do was find the matching style at our local hardware store, and add more cabinetry for the larger layout. New wood-look floor tiles, mother of pearl backsplash, and granite countertops created a lovely and cohesive, coastal inspired kitchen that now opens up to the dining area.
