Fireplace

I’ve always felt that a fireplace is what makes a house a home. To be able to sit around a warm fire with the family, especially during the holidays, is where all the good memories are made. In this particular space, I felt it necessary to restore the fireplace back to its original glory, and bring back the warmth using a natural color scheme. The bricks got freshened up with a masonry stain, and the original wood paneling and mantel was stripped back to show the beautiful wood grain. The awkward built-in closet was knocked out to make space for a modern entertainment center, and the dated blue carpet was replaced. Overall, this is now a family room I’d be happy to get cozy in!
